Deco Nouveau

type design

Deco Nouveau is typeface inspired by my fascination with Art Nouveau and Art Deco, which are prominent art movements that were birthed during the early 1920s. The typeface explores the intersection between the two movements, seeking to mold together the characteristic of the two---combining the geometric and bold forms of Art Deco to the organic and smooth forms of Art Nouveau. The result is a decorative typeface that works best in large point sizes, with its primary implementation being as a headline font which pairs well with other Sans-Serif font families.
